Mama's Coming Over!

This is the picture that me and my peeps will be painting at Sips N Strokes this month. Our reservation is for Sept 30. It is a really good day and I made the reservation before I realized it is the day after Ambers B'day! I think I am going to surprise her with some cake! She will really like that. I will have to get her out of the wine bottle to eat it, but hey--we all have sacrifices. My bosslady and her daughter are going to be going with us this time. So, we should have a really great time. I will post a picture of my finished product the day after. I am sure it wont look like this, but I dont think this will be a hard one to paint. At least I hope it isnt.
Mother is coming to stay the week with me. She will get here Sunday. She is as excited as she can be. She is already packed and ready to go. Amber is bringing her because she is going to be down there anyway. I told her Mother is already standing on the curb with her thumb out.
I, on the other hand spent the entire day Tuesday cleaning. This will have to be touched up Saturday night because everyday at my house is pet hair removal day. I just dont do it everyday. Since Mother is coming I want it to be looking pretty clean and nice for her. I also have to go wash clothes and I am going to wash all my throws and a couple pillows. I get this way when people come to my house. My house has to be perfect. That is why no one is allowed to just "drop in" without calling. I am a closet slob. I can do that though-be a slob--because I live alone and my dog and cat dont care. It is liberating.
While Mother is here we have to go shop for Kenzy and Owen's birthday party next Saturday. They will be three. I cant wait! It should be eventful and disfunctional. No one on our side of the family is coming except me and Mother. The rest will be all of Ken's family. Our family is having some type of combined party with some other kid this weekend in Tuscaloosa. That is over 100 miles and since Amber had already planned the party for here, I am going to the one here.
I think I am going to take mother to this winery that is right down the road. They make blueberry, muscadine and some other type of wine. They have a free tour and you get to taste the different kinds they have. This is a good thing. What I know about wine you can put in a thimble. So I need to taste to make sure I like. Know what I mean?
Mother will enjoy doing this I am sure. I am really looking forward to seeing her again. She will be 83 this year. This is scary for me because I worry all the time about how much longer I will have her around.
So these are all my ramblings for now. I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Oh Lynn, have fun with your mama!
It's really great that you two have a good relationship. My Mom's been gone for 6 years now, and unfortunately she did not have a good relationship with any of us kids for the last 10 years of her life. She became a bitter, mean woman, and it was totally intolerable to be around her.
I envy anyone that has parents that are still around at this age. There are times I could really use a mama!!
Have fun, a give her an extra hug from me!!!

Oh, one more thing.
Every once in a while I go back to that video of Kenzy dancing--not only so that I can see the little princess get her groove on, but so I can listen to your voice saying "dance kenzy, dance". It totally cracks me up, so if I'm in some sort of foul mood, I hook up with you and laugh and laugh.
Thanks for that!!

Oh, that would be great!

Hey-you should call Denise and ask her to do her "Lynn" impression for you. She really has it nailed down doing the "dance kenzy". That and her Mrs. Doubtfire impression. I told her that she missed her calling...

Oh wow! Denise does an impression of me! LMAO! That is funny! Next time I talk to her I must get her to do it!

Daaance Keenzeeee! Daaaance!

I was really screeching.

Linda! I talked to Denise and she did her imitation of me. I LMAO! She hit it right on. She was embarrassed at first that you told me she could imitate me--but then she did it and we had a great laugh!

I love me some Denise!
