Size Doesnt Matter

My beloved tomato plants finally yielded some ripe tomatoes and my bell pepper plant had some mature peppers. I dont know if you will be able to tell from the photo but the tomatoes and bell peppers are really small. I mean really, really small. I have no idea why they turned out like this. I fertilized and watered and loved and petted until I am almost sick of them. But they taste great! I was really happy with the taste. And if the size isnt much, not to worry, the quantity will more than make up for it. I have about 3 times this many more tomatoes and peppers still ripening on the vine.

So without further conversation, here they are:

I also have a lot of these in my yard right now:

Also, I thought I would post that every since I wrote about the dog days of summer and the no rain and heat, guess what? It has been raining! For 2 days straight and the temperature is down about 5 degrees. So, the weather has made me out to be a liar when I talked about August in the south.

Beautiful veggies, Lynn!
And darnit, we have so few butterflies around here. I even planted flowers a few years ago that were supposed to attract them, but nada.

Thank you! I want to get more pictures of the butterflies but they wont cooperate. There is a yellow one I like a lot.
