Yesterday was a really good day. Once again, I got to reconnect with an old friend from my past. I havent talked to her in I guess, about 5 years. Time goes by so fast you lose track of it. I used to work with her and we were close. When I got "let go" at my old job I lost track of her. I actually lost track of myself for a while, so it stands to reason I would lose track of her.
She found me on Myspace. God bless Myspace. Through Myspace and the internet this is the third dear friend I have been able to reconnect with. Reconnecting with people makes me feel like another piece of my life is back in place. Another missing piece of a life I lost through stupidity and bad decisions. The miracle is that she still cares about me despite my mistakes and faults. You just cant have enough people in your life like that.
We laughed, we got caught up on each other's lives and we ate some pretty good chinese. She is still as beautiful and smart as ever. Her children have grown so much and they are also more beautiful than ever. M. is a quiet type of person, but she will talk a lot once you get her going. We had no trouble at all talking yesterday. Lunch lasted 2 hours. Thank God her schedule is flexible because I dont know how we would have condensed all we had to say in an hour. In fact, I could have sat there for 2 more hours.
There are things in my past that I would like to leave there. M. is not one of them.

I'm so glad that you had a great lunch and visit. Your'e right, you can never have enough kind hearted friends in your life. I shudder to think where I might be without mine.
It is just that I fucked so many things up back then. And it left holes. She was one of them and now the hole is gone.
